Asimeto Absolute Digital Caliper SmartCable™ USB
Sends data to SPC data collection programs
The Asimeto Absolute Digital Caliper is connected to the SmartCable™ USB gage interface - no additional cables required. This Advanced Systems & Designs SmartCable™ USB connects the Asimeto Absolute Digital Caliper to a computer and will allow the gage to be detected as a COM port (or virtual Com Port) and send data to any SPC data collection software program.or communication and terminal emulation programs (i.e. HyperTerminal). The output of the SmartCable™ USB is a standard USB 2.0 COM port signal and the USB connection supplies power to the cable.
NOTE: This SmartCable™ USB will NOT send data directly to a spreadsheet program such as Excel, without using a separate software wedge program. Please see our SmartCable™ Keyboard (600-127-KB-USB) if you want to send data directly to Excel - without a software wedge.
Readings can be triggered by any of the following:

Pressing the push button on the SmartCable™ USB

Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)

Sending a gage read command from the computer to the SmartCable™ USB gage interface
This SmartCable™ USB gage interface is capable of sending data in several modes: read only, continuous, continuous with delay, disable pushbutton, and others. A detailed operation manual is included with this Advanced Systems and Designs SmartCable™ USB. Six foot cable length with special lengths available upon request.
