Ono Sokki EG225 Digital Indicator SmartCable™ USB
Sends data to SPC data collection programs
The Ono-Sokki EG-225 digital indicator interfaces with the ASDQMS SmartCable™ USB single gage interface via a BCD output signal cable. The SmartCable™ USB establishes a direct connection to the gage, eliminating the need for extra cables. This Advanced Systems & Designs SmartCable™ USB enables the Ono-Sokki EG225 digital indicator to communicate with a computer, facilitating data transmission to communication and terminal emulation programs (like HyperTerminal) or any SPC data collection software.
Please note, this ASDQMS SmartCable™ USB cannot directly transmit data to spreadsheet programs such as Excel without an additional software wedge program. For direct data transmission to Excel, consider our easy to use SmartCable™ Keyboard (600-13-KB-USB).
The ASDQMS SmartCable™ USB single gage interface outputs a standard USB 2.0 COM port signal, with the USB connection powering the cable. However, the gage cannot draw power from the SmartCable™ USB and requires its own separate power supply (batteries).
Readings can be triggered by any of the following:

Pressing the push button on the SmartCable™ USB

Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)

Pressing the send button on the gage (if it has one)

Sending a gage read command from the computer to the SmartCable USB gage interface
The SmartCable™ single gage interface can send standard “read gage” (R01) commands from a host computer, as well as armed (disable push button), continuous readings, continuous reading with brief delay, reading with units (inches or mm), MIN MAX TIR, and Gage Reset commands. A comprehensive operation manual is included with this Advanced Systems and Designs SmartCable™ USB. The cable length is six feet, with custom lengths available upon request.
