Olympus Panametrics 25 Multi-Plus Thickness Gage Digimatic FlashCable® Interface
Used to send data to our GageMux® multi-input gage interface
The Olympus Panametrics 25 Multi-Plus Thickness Gage is an ultrasonic gage that makes thickness and material velocity measurements on materials that are difficult to measure. This Advanced Systems and Designs FlashCable® gage interface changes the output on the Olympus Panametrics 25 Multi-Plus Thickness Gage to an 10-pin output in Mitutoyo Digimatic format.
With a high-quality 6-pin connector this FlashCable® gage interface works with our GageMux® multi-input gage interface or data acquisition systems that recognize the Mitutoyo Digimatic signal. This FlashCable® gage interface does not obtain any power from the gage.
When connected to the GageMux® gage interface, pin 9 of the 10-pin input port provides the power to the FlashCable®. On devices other than the GageMux® multiple input gage interface, make sure pin on the Digimatic connector provides a 5v DC supply to the FlashCable® gage interface. When properly connected, the LED on the FlashCable® gage interface will turn green. During the transmission of data from the Olympus 25 Multi-Plus Thickness gage, the LED will flash red.
Data transfer can be triggered using any of the following methods:

Using the data send button on the gage, if it has one

Using our 300-1S in-line handswitch

Using the Footswitch on the GageMux® or comparable triggering method

Sending a gage read command from the computer to the GageMux® gage interface
A detailed operation manual is included with this FlashCable® gage interface. Advanced Systems & Designs normally sets the FlashCable® gage interface to the default settings on the Olympus 25 Multi-Plus Thickness gage. Make sure both the Olympus Thickness Gage and FlashCable® are set to the same values. Refer to the Olympus 25 Multi-Plus thickness gage user manual for more information on serial communication.
