Sylvac IP67 and Starrett 798 Caliper FlashCable® Gage Interface
Sends data to our GageMux® or other Digimatic devices
Using the optic coupling signal connector, this Advanced Systems & Designs FlashCable® gage interface connects the Fowler Sylvac Ultra Cal V Caliper, Fowler Sylvac Mark V or VI Indicator or the IP67 and Starrett 798 Opto Caliper to Digimatic output. The FlashCable® interface cable can be connected to the GageMux® or any other Digimatic devices that recognize Mitutoyo Digimatic signals. Same product as Starrett 798SCM.
Our Advanced Systems & Designs FlashCable® gage interfaces have programmable memory – and are configured to "plug and play" with your Fowler Sylvac or Starrett gage. Stored within the programmable memory of the FlashCable® gage interface is critical gage control information such as gage ID, FlashCable® serial number, and configuration date.
The FlashCable® gage interface does not obtain any power from the gage. When connected to the GageMux® multiple input interface, the input port provides the power to the FlashCable® gage interface. When using connecting devices other than the GageMux® make sure pin 9 provides a 5V DC supply to the FlashCable® gage interface. When the FlashCable® is connected to a Digimatic device, the LED on the FlashCable® turns GREEN to indicate that the FlashCable gage interface is connected properly. The LED briefly flashes RED when a data request is triggered.
The data transfer can be triggered by using any of the following methods:

A data send button on the gage, if the gage has one

A footswitch connected to the FlashCable® gage interface

A footswitch connected to the GageMux® or equivalent triggering method

Software commands from the GageMux® gage interface
This Advanced Systems & Designs FlashCable® gage interface Includes a built-in footswitch port for use in other Mitutoyo Digimatic compatible systems. Five foot cable length. A detailed operation manual is included.
