Product Description
Ono Sokki EG225 Digital Indicator SmartCable™ USB
Sends data to SPC data collection programs
The Ono-Sokki EG-225 digital indicator is connected to the SmartCable™ USB gage interface using the BCD output signal cable. The SmartCable™ USB connects directly to the gage - no additional cables required. This Advanced Systems & Designs SmartCable™ USB connects the Ono-Sokki EG225 digital indicator to a computer and will allow the gage to send data to communication and terminal emulation programs (i.e. HyperTerminal) or any SPC data collection software program.
NOTE: This SmartCable™ USB will NOT send data directly to a spreadsheet program such as Excel, without using an additional software wedge program. Please see our SmartCable™ Keyboard (600-13-KB-USB) if you want to send data directly to Excel.
The output of the SmartCable™ USB gage interface is a standard USB 2.0 COM port signal and the USB connection supplies power to the cable. The gage cannot obtain power from the SmartCable™ USB---the gage requires a separate power supply (batteries) of its own.
Readings can be triggered by any of the following:
-
Pressing the push button on the SmartCable™ USB
-
Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)
-
Pressing the send button on the gage (if it has one)
-
Sending a gage read command from the computer to the SmartCable USB gage interface
This SmartCable™ gage interface is capable of sending standard "read gage" (R01) commands from a host computer as well as armed (disable push button), continuous readings, continuous reading with brief delay, reading with units (inches or mm), MIN MAX TIR, and Gage Reset commands. A detailed operation manual is included with this Advanced Systems and Designs SmartCable™ USB. Six foot cable length. Special lengths available upon request.
