The Advanced Systems & Designs SmartCable™ USB Keyboard connects the Mahr Federal Maxum Plus or Maxum III E1 (6-pin) digital indicator to a computer. This SmartCable™ USB Keyboard interface links directly to the Mahr Federal digital indicator via a high-quality 6-pin connector, eliminating the need for extra wires. The SmartCable™ Keyboard produces the standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal. Connecting the SmartCable™ Keyboard with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer allows the Mahr Federal digital indicator to be detected as a keyboard device and transfer data to any application as keystrokes, without the need for sophisticated software wedges. Never again worry about updates. When you update your operating system or SPC software, our keyboard interface will always function properly.
The SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface will make the Mahr Federal digital indicator readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard computer keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, or Explorer based SPC programs, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear and trigger a reading. Simple to use!
This SmartCable Keyboard is easily configured to output data in different modes, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, right and continuous reading. The user defined output mode is easily selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
A detailed operation manual is included with each SmartCable Keyboard gage interface. This mannual also includes instructions on how to configure your Mahr Federal Maxum Plus or Maxum III digital indicator for the proper output format.
