This Advanced Systems & Designs - ASDQMS SmartCable™ USB Keyboard single gage interface connects the Shimadzu TW | TX | TXB | TXC Electronic Balance to a computer. Connects the Shimadzu Electronic Balance to the SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface using a 9-pin male cable connector---no additional cables required. The output of the SmartCable™ Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.
Connecting the ASDQMS SmartCable™ Keyboard with its built-in keyboard wedge to the Shimadzu TW | TX | TXB | TXC Electronic Balance allows the device to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application - no software wedge required. The SmartCable™ Keyboard will make the Shimadzu UniBloc Series TX Electronic Balance readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard.
Eliminate data collection errors! If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or Explored based SPC program; simply select the cell where you want the data to appear.
Readings can be triggered by the following:

Pressing the PRINT button on the Shimadzu Electronic Balance

Pressing the button on the SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface

Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)
Simple to use!
LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the SmartCable™ gage interface. This SmartCable™ Keyboard is easily configured to output data in different modes on your spreadsheet, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, or right. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable™ Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
A detailed operation manual is included with this SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface. At the factory Advanced Systems & Designs normally sets the SmartCable™ Keyboard to the default settings on the Shimadzu UniBloc or TW | TX | TXB | TXC Electronic Balance. Make sure both the SmartCable™ and Shimadzu Electronic Balance are set to the same values. Refer to the Shimadzu UniBloc or TW | TX | TXB | TXC Series Electronic Balance user manual for more information on external communication.
