Mettler Toledo IND231 / 236 Weighing Terminal Digimatic Interface Cable
Send data to our GageMux® gage interface or other Digimatic input devices
This FlashCable® gage interface is engineered to convert the output on the Mettler Toledo IND231 / 236 Weighing Terminal to a Digimatic format. The 9-pin female connector on this Advanced Systems & Designs FlashCable® connects directly to the RS-232C male connector on the Mettler Toledo IND231 / 236 Weighing Terminal.
This FlashCable® gage interface is designed to work with our GageMux® gage interface or other similar devices that recognize the Mitutoyo Digimatic signal. The FlashCable® does not obtain any power from the Mettler Toledo IND231 / 236 Weighing Terminal. When properly connected to our GageMux® interface, pin 9 of the 10-pin input port provides the power to the FlashCable® gage interface. On devices other than the GageMux®, pin 9 of the input port connector must provide a 5vDC power to the FlashCable®.
When the FlashCable® gage interface is powered by the GageMux® the LED on the FlashCable® turns solid GREEN. The LED briefly flashes RED when the data is being sent or a data request is triggered.
The data transfer can be triggered using any of the following methods:

Using the Print / Transfer button on the Mettler Toledo IND231 / 236 Weighing Terminal

Using our 300-1S in-line handswitch

Using a Footswitch on the FlashCable® (not included)

Using the Footswitch on the GageMux® USB (or equivalent triggering method on similar devices)

Sending a gage read command from the computer to the Mettler Toledo IND231 / 236 Weighing Terminal
A detailed operation manual is included with this FlashCable® gage interface. As a default setting, Advanced Systems & Designs sets the FlashCable® gage interface to the default RS232 communication settings on the Mettler Toledo IND Weighing Terminal. The Mettler Toledo IND Weighing Terminal and FlashCable® gage interface must be set to the same RS232 communication values. Refer to the Mettler Toledo IND231 / 236 Weighing Terminal user manual for more information on how to set-up external communication using the RS-232C interface.
This FlashCable® gage interface comes in a six foot standard cable length. Special lengths are available upon request.
