Adam Equipment CBD Bench Scale SmartCable™ Gage Interface
Send data directly to Excel - no software wedge required
This Advanced Systems & Designs SmartCable™ USB Keyboard single-gage interface connects the Adam Equipment CBD Bench Counting Scale to a computer. Connects the Adam Equipment Scale to the SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface using a 9-pin female cable connector---no additional cables required. The output of the SmartCable™ Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.
Connecting the ASDQMS SmartCable™ Keyboard with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the Adam Equipment CBD Bench Counting Scale to be identified as a keyboard device that can send keystroke data to any SPC software application - no software wedge required.
The SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface will make the Adam Equipment CBD Series Scale digital readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminating data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or any SPC software program, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear and send the data.
Readings can be triggered by any of the following:

Pressing the push button on the ASDQMS SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface

Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)

Pressing the print button on the Adam Equipment CBD Series Scale
Simple to set-up, simple to use!
LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface. This Advanced Systems and Designs SmartCable™ Keyboard is easily configured to output data in different output modes on your spreadsheet, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, or right. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable™ Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
A detailed operation manual is included with this SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface. At Advanced Systems & Designs we normally set the SmartCable™ Keyboard to the default settings on the Adam Equipment Bench Counting Scale. Make sure both the SmartCable™ and Adam Equipment Scale are set to the same values. Refer to the Adam Equipment CBD Bench Counting Scale user manual for more information on external communication.
Six foot overall cable length. Special lengths are readily available upon request.
