Vacuubrand PC3001 VarioPro Vacuum Pump Excel Interface Cable
Send data directly to Excel---No Software Wedge Required
This Advanced Systems and Designs (ASDQMS) SmartCable™ USB gage interface with keyboard output sends data directly to Microsoft Excel, Explorer-based SPC programs, or other spreadsheet programs without using complicated software wedges. The SmartCable™ USB Keyboard single gage interface links the RS-232 C serial interface on the Vacuubrand PC3001 VarioPro Vacuum Pump to the USB port on a computer.
Connects the Vacuubrand PC3001 VarioPro Vacuum Pump to the SmartCable™ Keyboard using a 9-pin female cable connector---no additional cables required. The output of the SmartCable™ Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.
Set up from the factory to send current pressure reading on thePC3001 VarioPro Vacuum Pump. If a different output is required please contact us.
Connecting the SmartCable™ Keyboard with its built-in keyboard wedge will allow the Vacuubrand PC3001 VarioPro Vacuum Pump to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application - no software wedge required.
The SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface will make the Vacuubrand PC3001 VarioPro Vacuum Pump readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear and trigger the data.

LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the SmartCable™ gage interface. This SmartCable™ Keyboard is easily configured to output data in different output modes on your spreadsheet, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, or right. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.

A detailed operation manual is included with this SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface. Advanced Systems & Designs normally sets the SmartCable™ Keyboard to the default settings on the Vacuubrand PC3001 VarioPro. Make sure both the SmartCable™ gage interface and Vacuubrand PC3001 VarioPro Vacuum Pump are set to the same values. Refer to the Vacuubrand PC3001 VarioPro Vacuum Pump instructions for more information on RS-232 serial interface external communication.
