J-KEM Scientific Reaction Controller SmartCable™ Interface Cable

This Advanced Systems & Designs SmartCable™ USB Keyboard single gage interface connects the J-KEM Scientific Reaction Controller to a computer. Attaches the J-KEM Scientific Reaction Controller to the SmartCable™ Keyboard using a 9-pin male cable connector---no additional cables required. The output of the SmartCable™ Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.
Connecting the ASDQMS SmartCable™ Keyboard with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the J-KEM Scientific Reaction Controller to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application - no software wedge required! The SmartCable Keyboard will make the J-KEM Scientific Reaction Controller readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or other Explorer based programs, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear.
NOTE: Sends either the Reaction Temperature reading or PH Reading. Please specify which reading you require. If you require a different output please contact us.
Readings can be triggered from the J-KEM Scientific Reaction Controller using the following methods:

LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the SmartCable™ Keyboard interface cable. This SmartCable™ Keyboard is easily configured to output data in different output modes on your spreadsheet, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, or right. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable™ Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.

A detailed operation manual is included with this SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface. Advanced Systems & Designs normally sets the SmartCable™ Keyboard to the default settings on the J-KEM Scientific Reaction Controller. Make sure both the SmartCable™ and J-KEM Scientific Reaction Controller are set to the same values. Refer to the J-KEM Scientific Reaction Controller operation manual for more information on external communication with peripheral devices.
