After a file is opened, the Data Editor window is opened within the Application window. The Sample8.qdb file is shown below.
The Data Editor window functions like a spreadsheet; each column contains a different characteristic and each row is a new observation. Formula may also be entered, as shown in the highlighted Edit Bar below.
The Data Editor window, when used with a .qdb file, can contain as many as 30,000 columns and a few million rows; its real limitation is system RAM (Random Access Memory), as very large files may overwhelm the available RAM.
